How We Prepare You to Pass Your Exam:
Our two-day seminar is designed to prepare you to pass either the ICC Commercial Mechanical Inspectors or Plans Examiner examination the first time you take it!. The item bank of questions are largely "cross focused" on similar code subject matter - therefore we prepare our students by teaching the relevant information in a concise, organized, systematic format that has proven to be the most successful ever! If you are doing a RESIDENTIAL Mechanical Inspector exam, please see our 1-day seminar for Residential Mechanical under the "Residential Combination" inspector category. The seminar begins on the first day by providing each student with a full set of copyrighted training plans - and they are yours to keep! The instructor then proceeds, explaining the code chapter by chapter, demonstrating fundamental principles and interpretations, then applying specific code provisions to the plans and applicable specifications.
The students are continually challenged to think about code applications throughout the two days by using example construction documents with hidden errors in them, along with discussions regarding errors and omissions frequently found at the construction site.
Actual photographs and video clips are included throughout the program in order to assure that the student understands complex code situations and the consequence when key review or inspection principles are overlooked in the office or field.
At the conclusion of this course, students will have covered the required information for both the Inspector and Plans Examiner examination.
Comprehensive sets of practice test questions are provided as take home assignments. These questions are designed to "hone" the student’s ability to quickly look up and answer questions similar to those that will be encountered on "test day". Additionally, all of these valuable test questions have complete solutions and page references - not just answer keys!
