Certified Building Official Exam: The Certified Building Official certification is for persons who may serve as building officials.  According to the ICC: “The Certified Building Official is responsible for the development, administration, interpretation, application and enforcement of the codes adopted by their jurisdiction. They will be able to manage their department’s budget and the certification and training of inspection staff. They will have an understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to human resources. They will have a thorough knowledge of customer service, develop and maintain effective relationships with all client groups, and be able to effectively communicate with contractors, homeowners, subordinates, superiors, news media, elected officials, and civic organizations.”

The Live Class/Webinar is for the CODES AND STANDARDS portion of the exams ONLY and is located at our Learning Center at 8238 Joliet Street, Hudson, FL  34667 (or via WEBINAR). RECORDED WEBINARS online are in your online locker (after you sign up) and for the other portions of the exam. Practice exams are also available there for each part. IF you already have a Florida license, you may be eligible for obtaining continuing education credits provided you attend the LIVE CLASS/WEBINAR in Hudson (NOT for online study). YOU ARE ALLOWED 24 MONTHS’ ACCESS TO THE COURSE/WEBINARS/CLASSES FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.

The course fee is $1,195.00 for any format and includes instruction and access to any webinar/recorded webinar(s) and online simulated exams (bring your own exam references) FOR 24 MONTHS. If you do not pass all three exams within 24 months and need an extension, you may purchase a one year extension for $550. Students must have their own reference materials required for the test. All reference materials can be purchased from the Contractors Library.
